Power-off and power-on of low-voltage electrical system

Power-off of low-voltage electrical system

Warning
  • Before maintaining any components of the low-voltage electrical system, power off the system according to the following requirements, and power on it after maintenance, unless otherwise specified in the operating procedure.

  • If tools or equipment are easy to contact the electrode terminals of 12 V battery and wiring harness connectors, it is also necessary to power off the low-voltage electrical system.

  • Violation against these safety reminders may result in personal injury or vehicle damage.

  1. Turn off all electrical appliances, and the power supply of the vehicle (by pressing the "START/STOP" button).

  2. Carefully pry out the carpet access cover with a plastic pry plate.

  3. Disconnect the negative wiring harness of 12 V battery.

    1. Loosen 1 fixing nut.

    2. Detach it from the negative terminal of 12 V battery. At this time, the low-voltage electrical system of the vehicle has been powered off.

    Caution
After the negative wiring harness is disconnected, the negative terminal of the 12 V battery must be insulated and packaged to prevent it from contacting other metals in the vehicle and causing circuit safety hazards.

Power-on of low-voltage electrical system

Caution
Before power-on, make sure that electrical circuits of the vehicle are well connected and there is no flammable or explosive article near the negative terminal of the 12 V battery.
  1. Install it in the reverse order of removal.

  2. After the negative wiring harness of 12 V battery is disconnected, the vehicle may be in a sleep mode. After the negative wiring harness and negative terminal of 12 V battery are installed, the vehicle needs to be awakened by pressing the microswitch on the driver's door handle twice continuously.

    Reminder
When the vehicle is parked for a long time, the 12 V battery may also enter the sleep mode. Wake it up with the same method before turning on the vehicle power.
  3. After wake-up, power on the vehicle (by pressing the "START/STOP" button to switch the power supply to OK mode), and check that the electric appliances of the vehicle are functioning normally. In this case, the low-voltage electrical system of the vehicle has been powered on.

    Caution
A low 12 V battery may cause the failure of the low-voltage electrical system to be powered on properly. In this case, check whether the 12 V battery is low, and power on the low-voltage electrical system again.
